The smallest amount of research into how to rank well on search engines will no doubt result in you concluding pretty quickly that in order to jump the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) ladder you need the best quality links you can find.
In this case quality definitely beats quantity.
With LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) also rearing it’s head in the search engine algorithms (especially google) there has never been more of a need for on theme links within unique and useful content.
The search engines are doing a pretty good job of weeding out most of the junk sites out there. This is great for you if you follow the path of quality content and on theme linking.
Ok, so I think I made my point there 
I’m going to give you some free one way text links on my wordpress blog. They’ll be “do-follow” links too. The home page is currently PR2 … not that PR means a lot these days.
All you need to do is sign up for your author account here and begin posting your quality content and 1 or 2 natural looking links.
Obviously I’ll be vetting all submissions so to avoid wasting your time and mine just keep it quality, unique content and use 1 or 2 links naturally within the article to provide more information to the reader.
So … for the free text links that’s:
1. Sign up for an author account on my blog here.
2. Create a unique post on your chosen subject.
3. Select or create an appropriate category.
4. Publish!
